Queens of the Stone Age's ninth album Perfecth arrives on Matador this Friday, their first since 2023. The band has also announced a 16-date US tour for 2027 with Pixies.
IllustrationJosh Homme's band is back with a word he invented. Queens of the Stone Age release their ninth studio album, Perfecth, on Friday, 30 October 2026, through Matador Records. It is their first album since In Times New Roman... in 2023.
The tracklist
- It's Only Love
- Insignificant Other
- Where the Goth Girls At?
- Mono
- From the Cliff
- Sunday
- Easy Street
- Phantom Limb
- Run Away From the Mob
What we have heard
Three songs are already out. Easy Street, released in the summer, was the band's first new music in three years and leaned into a catchy, sing-along feel. Insignificant Other is a near six-minute, bluesy track that Homme has described as a song about distance. Where the Goth Girls At? followed as the third preview. The album title is a word Homme came up with himself.
On the road
- 2026: after a North American stadium run opening for Foo Fighters, the band has been touring Europe, with a show in Reykjavik on 24 October
- December 2026: Australia and New Zealand, with Primus and Tropical Fuck Storm, starting in Adelaide on 8 December
- 2027: a 16-date US Perfecth tour with Pixies, with more shows to be announced
- 2027: a slot at Lollapalooza Chile
Why it matters
Pairing Queens with Pixies puts two of alternative rock's most influential bands on one bill, the kind of double act that sells out arenas. For fans, Perfecth is the first chance in three years to hear where Homme takes the band's desert-rock sound next.
