Lies at a glance
- Released: 16 October 2026
- Writers: Zach Bryan and Lana Del Rey
- EP: Young Manhood and Other Donatable Organs, eight songs
- Label: Belting Bronco / Warner Records
- Hot 100: No. 4 debut
The sound
The song is a back-and-forth about a couple held together by comfortable untruths. Listeners have pointed to a nod to Fleetwood Mac's Little Lies in the chorus, and a sparse piano opening that recalls Rihanna's Stay, as noted by Stereogum.
The EP and what's next
- The EP also features Plainsman, a collaboration with Turnpike Troubadours.
- Bryan's stadium tour starts in Minneapolis in April 2027.
- Lana Del Rey continues work on her country-leaning album Stove, and Lies is being read as an early taste of that direction.
