Martin Garrix announces MARTY, his first pop album, for 5 March 2027 with U2, Madonna, Ed Sheeran and Aitana
Martin Garrix's 14-track album MARTY arrives on 5 March 2027 via STMPD Records and Darkroom, featuring U2, Madonna, Ed Sheeran and Aitana, with Bono as a co-writer and Garrix singing on several tracks himself.
IllustrationMartin Garrix is stepping out from behind the decks. The Dutch DJ and producer has announced MARTY, a 14-track pop album due on Friday, 5 March 2027, through his own STMPD Records and Darkroom Records. It is his first full album since Sentio in 2022, and his most personal yet.
Who is on it
- U2, with Bono also contributing as a co-writer
- Madonna
- Ed Sheeran
- Spanish pop star Aitana
- More collaborators still to be announced
For the first time, Garrix also sings his own lead vocals on several songs, building on Catharina, the single named after his mother that he released in March as his first song with his own voice.
Where the name comes from
MARTY is a nod to his very first DJ alias, DJ Marty, and the old slogan Party with DJ Marty from his early days as a teenage bedroom producer. The title brings his journey full circle.
The road so far
- Catharina (March): first single featuring his own vocals
- Repeat It with Ed Sheeran (15 May, his 30th birthday): a collaboration more than a decade in the making that reached the top 15 on US pop radio
- Bizarre: his production for Madonna's album Confessions II
- Fireflies with U2 (July): premiered at Tomorrowland with a surprise appearance from The Edge
- This Dream of You: a recent single pointing towards the album's pop direction
At a low-key preview event, Garrix also played a song called Ghost and his collaboration with Aitana.
What is next
Garrix has also been confirmed as a headliner at Ultra Music Festival in Miami from 26 to 28 March 2027, three weeks after the album lands. He has a huge following in India, where he has headlined Sunburn, so expect MARTY to travel.
