KING new poster: Shah Rukh Khan breaks the internet, but fans debate Dhurandhar 2 comparisons

Shah Rukh Khan's KING has the internet talking again. A new poster shared on 27 October has gone viral, and alongside the excitement came a debate over whether its look borrows from other recent action posters.

The fan debate

• Some fans compared the poster to Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar 2 poster.
• Others pointed to the upcoming Hong Kong action film Raging Fire 2, mentioning the fire and the framing.
• One user claimed the story resembles Léon: The Professional.

These are fan claims shared on social media, as reported by Filmibeat. The makers have not responded.

KING at a glance

• Release: 24 December 2026
• Director: Siddharth Anand, reuniting with SRK after Pathaan
• Genre: action thriller
• Cast: Shah Rukh Khan, Suhana Khan in her theatrical debut, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Rani Mukerji, Jaideep Ahlawat, Jackie Shroff, Raghav Juyal and Abhay Verma

Trailer on SRK's birthday?

Reports suggest the trailer could drop on 2 November, Shah Rukh Khan's 61st birthday. Nothing is confirmed yet, but the poster timing has only fuelled the buzz.

Why it matters

KING is the biggest Hindi release left in 2026 after Ramayana. Posters that look similar are common in action films, but for a film this big, every frame gets studied closely.
