Take That and Shashwat Sachdev join Mumbai’s Earthshot Prize Awards Night
Mumbai’s 17 November ceremony will bring the British trio to India for the first time, alongside a finale from composer Shashwat Sachdev.
IllustrationTake That and composer Shashwat Sachdev will perform at the Earthshot Prize Awards Night in Mumbai on 17 November 2026. The organiser’s 27 October announcement identifies the appearance as Take That’s first performance in India and places Sachdev at the centre of the ceremony’s finale.
Two musical approaches on one Mumbai stage
The British trio—Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald—will appear shortly before their album Dreamers, scheduled for 20 November. Sachdev says his performance will draw from his catalogue Shades of Cashmere.
Shreya Ghoshal is also part of the musical lineup, according to Rolling Stone India’s 27 October report. Filmmaker Karan Johar will host, while Alia Bhatt, Rami Malek and Sachin Tendulkar are among the announced participants.
What viewers can expect
The evening will announce five Earthshot winners, each receiving £1 million to advance an environmental solution. Earthshot names Prime Video as its exclusive streaming partner.
The announcement does not provide a precise streaming start time or a public ticket-sale link. Readers should follow the official event hub for updated viewing and attendance information rather than treating the performance announcement as a ticket release.
