The tour that brought Sidhu Moose Wala back to arena stages as a hologram has stopped after just two nights. Balkaur Singh, the late Punjabi star's father, announced on 19 October 2026 that the Signed to God tour was being postponed, and the remaining North American shows have been called off.

What has been cancelled

  1. Completed: two sold-out shows at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto and Rogers Arena in Vancouver.
  2. Cancelled: the Calgary date, called off hours before it was due to begin, and three shows in the United States.
  3. Refunds: ticket holders are due to be refunded in the coming weeks.
  4. New dates: none announced.

Why the tour stopped

In his statement on Instagram, Balkaur Singh said the decision followed the current situation in Punjab and the protests after the death of anti-drug activist Parminder Singh Jhota. He said his constituency of Mansa and Punjab would always come first, apologised to fans in Calgary and the US, thanked the crowds in Toronto and Vancouver, and promised to bring the show back in an even bigger way.

How the hologram was made

The production team has stressed that the show does not use AI. Instead, they worked with a body double and a prosthetics team to recreate Moose Wala's movements, then projected the result using a Pepper's Ghost technique, synced to his original recorded vocals. The idea was inspired by Tupac's famous hologram at Coachella in 2012, and it made Moose Wala the first Indian artist to tour this way. Promoter Platinum Events had planned stops in London and Los Angeles, and producers have said they want to bring it to India.

Why it matters

Four years after he was shot dead in Mansa district in May 2022, Moose Wala remains one of the most-streamed Punjabi artists in the world. The sold-out Canadian nights showed the demand is real, but the pause also shows how closely the tour is tied to his family and to events back home in Punjab.

We will update this story when new dates are announced.
