Sam Fender has done what fans rarely see a stadium act do: he cut his own ticket prices. The Newcastle singer has scrapped premium front-standing tickets for his Proper Massive Stadium Tour 2027, confirming that every standing ticket will now cost £85 before fees.

How it happened

A day earlier, Fender said publicly that he was not happy with the prices that had been set for the tour and that they were being changed. He also criticised split standing sections at big shows, where the area closest to the stage is sold at a premium, and said that would not happen on his tour. The new flat price followed.

The 2027 dates

  1. 3 and 5 June: St James' Park, Newcastle
  2. 10 June: Principality Stadium, Cardiff
  3. 18 and 20 June: Wembley Stadium, London, his biggest headline shows yet
  4. 1 July: Marlay Park, Dublin
  5. 8 July: Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh
  6. 15 and 17 July: Etihad Stadium, Manchester

He also headlines Rock Werchter in Belgium. Wunderhorse, the band fronted by Jacob Slater, support on every stadium date except Dublin.

Tickets

General sale opens at 9.30 am UK time on Friday, 30 October, through Ticketmaster and other official sellers.

Why it matters

Ticket pricing has become one of the biggest flashpoints in live music, with dynamic pricing and tiered standing sections drawing anger from fans. Fender's move puts pressure on other big acts to follow, and it is a reminder that artists can still shape what fans pay. He tours on the back of People Watching, which won the 2025 Mercury Prize, with a new album now available to pre-order.
