Grammys 2027: first-round voting closes, nominations land on 16 November ahead of the show's move to ABC

The race for the 2027 Grammys has entered its quiet but crucial phase. First-round voting by Recording Academy members ran from 12 to 22 October 2026, and those ballots now decide who will be named on nominations day.

A new home on TV

The 69th Grammy Awards will be the first to air on ABC since 1972, after more than five decades on CBS. The show will be broadcast live on ABC and stream on Disney+ and Hulu, the start of a 10-year deal signed in 2024. That means ABC will be home to the Grammys, the Oscars and the Super Bowl in 2027.

Who is in the running

A string of big albums fall inside the eligibility window, including Taylor Swift's The Life of a Showgirl, Harry Styles' Kiss All the Time. Disco Occasionally, Ella Langley's Dandelion and Kacey Musgraves' Middle of Nowhere. Drake's Iceman, which debuted with the second-biggest week of 2026 and sent three albums into the Billboard 200 top three at once, is also eligible.

The Academy has not yet named a host. Trevor Noah, who hosted the last six ceremonies, has said 2026 was his final time.
