Can Jailer 2 beat 2.0?

2.0's reported lifetime worldwide gross is about Rs 691 crore. With roughly Rs 25 crore to go after Day 10 and a second Sunday still to be counted, Jailer 2 looks set to cross it within days if the current trend holds.

Earlier days

Jailer 2 opened on Thursday, 15 October 2026 with about Rs 59.70 crore net in India and crossed Rs 500 crore worldwide in six days, helped by the Dussehra holidays. See the first-week day-wise report at https://mediamarvels.in/blog/jailer-2-box-office-collection-songs.

Why Jailer 2 keeps going

  1. Rajinikanth's global fan base. Overseas markets have contributed more than a third of the total.
  2. The cameos. Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, Vijay Sethupathi and Hrithik Roshan give fans reasons to watch again.
  3. Anirudh Ravichander's music. Hukum Reloaded and Ala Bolelo are fuelling the hype in theatres and on Reels.
