When does Avengers: Doomsday release in India?
Marvel's big films usually open in India on the same weekend as the US, and Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled for Friday, 18 December 2026. Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom
Downey Jr. played Tony Stark for more than a decade, ending with Iron Man's sacrifice in Endgame. His return as Doctor Doom, one of Marvel's greatest villains, was announced in July 2024 and is the biggest talking point of the film.
The music: Alan Silvestri returns
Alan Silvestri composed the scores for Avengers, Infinity War and Endgame, including the famous Avengers theme. His return means fans can expect that theme to play a big part again. Portals, his cue from Endgame's final battle, is one of the most loved pieces of film music of the past decade.
Why the release moved to December
Avengers: Doomsday was originally planned for May 2026. In May 2025, Marvel moved it to 18 December 2026, and Secret Wars to 17 December 2027, to give the films more production time. Doomsday was filmed at Pinewood Studios in England in 2025.
