Here is every big concert and music festival in India this season, in date order, with what you need to know before you buy tickets.

Sunburn Festival 2026, Mumbai
Sunburn, billed as Asia's biggest music festival, returns to Mumbai for its second year in the city on 18 and 19 December. The Chainsmokers, DJ Snake and Swedish House Mafia's Sebastian Ingrosso lead the bill at Mahalaxmi Racecourse. If you only go to one EDM night this year, make it this one.
Rolling Loud India 2026
The world's biggest hip-hop festival comes back to Mumbai on 12 and 13 December for its second Indian edition. The venue and lineup were still unannounced in early October, so follow the festival's official Instagram for the drop. Indian hip-hop's growth on streaming means homegrown rappers are likely to get serious stage time.
Echoes of Earth 2026, Bengaluru
India's best-known eco-friendly festival turns ten on 5 and 6 December. Expect electronic and indie sets in an outdoor setting built from recycled materials. It suits fans who want a festival that feels more relaxed than the Mumbai mega-events.
Hornbill Festival 2026, Nagaland
Hornbill runs every year from 1 to 10 December near Kohima. It is part cultural festival, part rock showcase, and the music nights are among the best ways to discover bands from the Northeast. Book stays early; Kohima fills up fast.
Lollapalooza India 2027, Mumbai
Lollapalooza India marks its fifth edition on 23 and 24 January 2027 at Mahalaxmi Racecourse, with four stages and more than 20 hours of music. The 2026 edition, headlined by Linkin Park, drew the festival's biggest crowd yet, and nearly two in three attendees travelled from outside Mumbai. BookMyShow is the exclusive ticketing partner.
Tips for attending concerts in India
1. Buy only from the official ticketing partner. Resale tickets on social media are a common scam during festival season.
2. Plan transport home. For Mahalaxmi Racecourse events, Mahalaxmi station (Western line) and Byculla (Central line) are the nearest railway stations.
3. Carry ID. Most festivals check age and identity at entry, especially where alcohol is served.
4. Charge your phone and download tickets. Mobile networks slow down sharply with crowds of this size.
5. Hydrate. Most large festivals now run free water stations; use them.
